This is old news, but a a great video to refer to - I often wear a dewy but full coverage face base with minimal/no eye makeup and a brown berry lip, perfect out the door makeup before its time to whop out the bright corals, glossy reds and hot pinks of SS

I was kindly sent a sample of the new Batiste Dry Shampoo - Wild

Same great cult hair product but with new packaging and scentDry shampoo is a staple product in my hair routine

I use it every day and keep it in my handbag, its an essential product which i use to add volume and body, refresh oil roots and add a fragrance to my hair

(To me, this smells nearly identical to Theiry Mugler Angel perfume!)

Batiste is my firm favourite brand for dry shampoos, and Wild is definitely my favourite fragrance so far, the scent is allot stronger and lingers in my hair all day

Definitely check this out if you are a fan of the original dry shampoo but fancy a new strong and musky scent

Texturising powders have been popular at the moment -
I picked up V05'S Give me texture last week and have been using it & loving it every day

The product offers "Extra texture & instant volume" from the light powder - it doesn't disappoint!

- The scent is a sweet and musky which initially makes it a pleasure to apply and freshen up any hair
- One small shake of the bottle offers enough product - I sprinkle it on the roots and down my centre parting, I then flip my head over, distribute it and work it into my crown
- This is hands down a must have product - It achieves the voluminous and glamorous look which would take blow drying,hot rollers, mouse and teasing, in one handbag sized product
- The product leaves a matte/textured feeling to the hair but there is no excess product residue in the roots

- I found this worked best on 2 day hair,it absorbed oil and worked with the natural body in my hair

Definitely a product for big hair girls, texturising powders are going to be a holiday/festival essential styling product

I was recently sent some Umberto Giannini products from the Dazzling shine and Sleek & Chic ranges to try out and share my thoughts with you

Salon Shine Glossing Mist - 200ml
"Weightless high sine for a salon professional finish in an instant"

This is the perfect finishing product, it gives amazing shine and a fresh floral fragrance which would be perfect to set an updo or everyday ponytail with a high gloss shine. I used it on my hair which was freshly washed, dried naturally, and contained no products it worked amazingly at separating my natural wave and gave it a glamorous shine which instantly turned my natural/heat free hair into a healthy looking natural day style

It is similar to a serum, but is allot lighter so don't fear, this product wont give you lank or greasy hair, the aerosol evenly distributes the product which gives the perfect amount of shine
This is definitely a product I will carry in my handbag on a daily basis, it is more practical and easy to apply shine product in comparison to a regular serum, and the fresh floral scent instantly freshens up any hairstyle!

Thoroughly recommend this girls! This is a perfect product for easy, glossy,summer hair styles, definitely a great product for festival season!

I have been loving some great products through march -

St. Moriz Instant tanning mouse Gorgeous,natural colour with allot of green pigment to avoid the orange look! You can find this in savers for £3

L'Oreal Solar Expertise Lotion Even though it is hardly sunny/hot in the UK, It is so important to wear sun protection whenever outside. Darling tip - I mix a little of this with a foundation to give it SPF protection, a sheerer coverage and a dewy finish!
Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation Great high coverage foundation, I'm dubious about it lasting for 25 hours but a great cheaper alternative to Mac SFF or Estee lauder Double wear

Chloe Eau Du Parfum This has been in my favourites before, such a gorgeous girly scent. It has an initial flowery and powdery scent and a deep, musky base note which develops throughout the day

H&M Nail polish Big fan of neutral nail colours, this is a gorgeous taupe that looks best when I am tanned

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lipstick - Coral Fever 416 Fun, bright coral colour perfect for SS11. Darling tip - I warm this up between my fingers and apply on the apples of my cheeks for a long lasting coral, dewy flush!

On another note I have been uber busy this month, I have done allot of travelling across the country to visit Universities in Liverpool and Sheffield

Spring Scent

Clarins - Eau Dynamisante

This perfume is such an uplifting, fresh scent for spring

This is basically a grown up body spray, it can be applied generously and the plant extracts act to tone and moisture the skin!

Citrus, ginseng and patchouli notes make it a happy and heady perfume

I definitely recommend this if you are wanting a scent for SS11 which isn't a generic, sugary summer perfume

Fruit Works

I was recently scent two products from the massive Fruit Works range at Grace Cole

Watermelon & Pink Grapefruit Body Scrub and Body Butter

Firstly, the scent of these products is amazing!
I normally find fruit scented products have an off-putting chemical/sickly scent, but these have a realistic, sweet and juicy smell which lasts on my skin

Both products come in a fun, hot pink packaging which looks fabulous in my shower

The Scrub - 238ml - This is a great every day product to keep skin soft and radiant, however I would use something more abrasive before fake tanning etc

Darling Tip - Mix a little sugar with a body scrub in your hand to make a scrub more abrasive and effective

The Body Butter - 250ml This is so luscious and creamy, I have been using this in the mornings and I find the scent and moisture lasts all day on my skin
It has the sweet, watermelon and grapefruit scent which mixes well with any perfume I wear or is strong enough to give a subtle fragrance

I definitely recommend giving these a try if your looking for some new, fruity body products for spring & summer.

One current hype in the beauty community I have seen recently is
Chanel Black Pearl nail polish
A gorgeous colour but with a hefty £16.85 price tag

I have found a very similar version for £7 - No7 Stay Perfect Nail Colour - Night Silver
(£5 off Number 7 vouchers are currently available in boots)

The colour is a gunmetal silver which appears green, blue and almost black in different lights.

I love this colour: a fresher, lighter and prettier version of blacks and greys for spring!

I have been loving a few things this month

- Love Chloé Eau du parfuum

I simply have to show you another picture of the perfume bottle

The chain detail is so pretty on my vanity and makes it a more luxurious experience of spraying
Love is a much fresher and lighter scent in comparison to the original Chloé perfume which I already own.It has a floral, powdery and mature scent that lasts all day and develops into a more musky and amber scent.

Has anyone tried any of these products?

Storage

I am always looking for ways to organise my things and I really recommend big suitcases, trunks etc as storage

I bought this at a local vintage fair for a bargain at £15

I love the pale green and studded leather, it goes lovely with my pale pink walls

You can fit so much in them shut the lid and forget about how messy it is inside

I'm sure you can find similar items in home stores etc, but if you can get a genuine vintage one it will be allot more interesting

Cream blush

I've not tried any makeup from Topshop other than this cream blush in the colour Nutmeg

It is a more light more pretty way to wear blush for spring compared to my usual contouring with a dark bronzer

Nutmeg is a warm brownish pink colour that is just bright enough to perk up my complexion

It is totally glitter and shimmer free but applied lightly it gives a pretty dewy finish

Darling Tip
I have found using a stippling brush ( Ruby & Millie) to buff it in gives a more matte and natural finish

Does anyone know of any great cream blushes?
I'm looking to expand my blush collection

Delice de poudre - Bourjois chocolate bronzer

I'm Back Dolls!

Starting off my first post of 2011 is a HG product that I have loved for a few years - Bourjois delice de poudre bronzing powder

You can see how much I love it as the packaging is almost destroyed and I have hit pan, but this has lasted me three years with every day use!

It is such a multipurpose product and I regularly use it on my eyes for a quick mono shadow look as well as my face for bronzing and contouring

This is hands down my favourite bronzer ever -

It has small gold shimmers when it's in the pan but comes out matte on skin and the colour is not too flat, orange or brown

Festive Favourites - DIY Scented Decorations

Hello Dolls

So one of my fave things about the holiday season is the lovely Christmassy scent of Oranges and spices!
Making these orange decorations has been a family tradition, such a fun way to spend a cold afternoon & so much cheaper than buying Christmas scented decorations

You will need -
Large oranges

Cloves

Sparkly ribbon
Pins

These are so simple to make -

1 . Section the orange with the ribbon and secure with pins & tie a bow at the top so you can hang them

2. Simply push cloves into the orange in a pattern

Hang your decorations from your tree or dot them around for a seasonal scented room!

Don't fear - The cloves are antiseptic and stop the orange from going mouldy

Darling Tip - These make lovely presents for neighbours and they keep for such a long time, we still have some from Christmas's over a year ago!

I simply cannot believe we are in December already!
It literally feels like last week that we were in summer, and complaining about how hot we were and loving our tans, and now we are all knee deep in snow!

Anyway, here is what I have been loving throughout November!

Dark & Lovely deep repair body lotion
This was a cheap item from savers (Under £3), not the most moisturising product I have used, but the smell is amazing! A more chocolatey scent than Palmer's, and because it was so cheap I slather myself in tons of this!

Aussie 3 Minute Miracle - Luscious Long
I am sure everyone has tried/loved the 3 Minute Miracle treatments, I simply cannot be without these! This is definitely the best hair treatment I have ever got my paws on, and my hair has been feeling the abuse of the cold winds and drying heating recently! I use this two times a week for maximum benefit!

Sleek Pigment - InfernoThis is the most beautiful orange/copper/cranberry pigment and it doesn't have any chunky glitter in it, it is lovely and fine and looks even more intense if you apply it wet! Just a quick sweep of this under my lower lash line with a pencil brush, and it instantly brightens up my eyes, this is such a gorgeous party colour for us brown eyed girls!

Vera Wang Princess
Another product I think everyone owns and loves; This is a scent I love wear throughout the whole year. It's such a sweet, girly scent to being with, and by the afternoon the musky amber notes come through, making it the perfect evening scent! On a side note, isn't bottle is absolutely fabulous?!

Gosh Velvet touch primer
This is such an amazing product, it is a soft gel like consistency and blends out completely, it makes such a difference to apply foundation, it simply glides on and keeps my makeup looking freshly applied all day! Definitely a must have product for the party season!

Carmex
This is hands down the best lip balm I have ever come across, I always have this on me! I love the scent, the tingly feeling, the packaging, everything! It makes my lips feel juicy, plump and moisturised. I can battle any weather with this by my side,You need a tube of this in your life!

My IPhone
As you girlys know, I was lucky enough to be given an IPhone 4 for my birthday in October, and since then it has been in my hand constantly! I am addicted!
I Love how I can update twitter, check up on every ones blog and I always have a camera with this!
I bought myself a sparkly black case to protect it, (I am ashamed I have dropped it a few times), but I am literally in love with my phone. Team IPhone!

Yankee Candle - Mulled wine
You girls know I love my candles, and this is the most christmassy/festive scent! I love lighting candles when I'm having a soak in a nice warm bath, candles are so essential for the perfect pampering session!

So those are the things that have been getting me through november
And I couldnt start December wihtout one of these now could I?!

Sister time & Exciting updates!

Hello Dolls!

So today in my local town, there was a Christmas Market that my sister and I visited!
So appropriate as the current weather in England is uber festive, and there was a faint flurry of snow and blue skies when we were out, it was so magical!
I bought some lovely things that I will blog about tomorrow as part of my festive favourites!

On a side note, I have a few exciting updates for you -
1. I received some products that where kindly sent to me by a mineral makeup company called "First Light" - So far I have been loving them, and I will be blogging about them very soon!
2. I am slowly edging towards the big 500 followers! This is so exciting, and unbelievable! Hopefully I will have reached 500 by Christmas, because I have some big plans for a Celebratory Christmas 500 followers giveaway

Winter Essential - Fur head band

Hello Dolls!
I Have a little post, and it's not about makeup!

I am not an avid hat lover, but I have found this seasons most cozy and fabulous hair accessory - The Fur Headband!

I got this headband for around £2.99 in Primark - (I hope they still have them, let me know if they do)

I think it is the perfect way to keep your head warm, stop your hair from blowing in the cold wind & look glamorous and festive, all in one!
You can love that you can still have your hair styled normally and no chance of hat hair!

Darling Tip - Head bands leave you with no trace of dreaded hat hair, in fact I find my hair is uber volumised after wearing one of these, as I wear it so it pushes my hair up and away from the crown! Fix with a little hair spray and you have winter volume, with no heat or teasing!

You can also wear this like an Alice band, with all the hair off your face, but i prefer it this way as it keeps my ears lovely and toasty as well!
I've seen other head bands around, Topshop has some lovely ones with pearls one!

Buy one, it will become your Winter essential!

Firework Glitter FOTN

Hey Dolls!
Quick little FOTN for you lovelies!

The other night I went to a firework themed party, so it was my excuse to break out the glitter & lashes!

I used my normal foundation/powder/concealer products
Harmony blush from Mac to contour, and a little eyeko bronzing cream to add the glow!
I used Urban decay heavy metal glitter eye gel in bootleg all over the lid - It is the most gorgeous silvery gun metal colour, with lots of sparkles & glitter!

Darling tip - Whenever I use glitter I always get a ton of fallout, make sure you do your eyes first when using pigment or glitter, this will keep your foundation etc glitter free!

I used Busy signal cream shadow from Benefit underneath to warm they colour up and add some bronze glitter as well!
I used the killer lashes I got from ebay, I mentioned them a couple of posts ago
In the pictures where I am wearing lippie - It's Plum from Revlon

(If you are interested, my on sleeved bat wing dress is from Topshop)
I got it in the sale for £20! I had my eye on it for a while, and isn't it gorgeous!

So that was my little FOTN, it was so fun to use glitter
Since the party season is coming up I plan to bring out all things sparkly & glowy, so expect more glitzy fabulousity coming your way!

Shower in Glamour

Hello Dolls!

It's Darling - Quick post about something so utterly fabulous and frivolous, you simply need it in your life!

I am an avid lover of showers, especially in these cold mornings, a lovely hot steamy shower with some delicious scented soap suds is the most comforting way to start my day
But then of course I am in mortal fear of my hair getting wet and then being a giant frizz ball for the rest of the day - then came the invention of the Shower Cap

If you are like me, then you find ways to glam up even the most everyday things, and this shower cap from Soap and Glory is the most girly one I have come across

It is a pink satin with a water proof lining, and it is all gathered and frilly at the edge and adorned with a chocolate brown bow!
It says "One for Cover", I'm not really sure why, I think it is a pun or something I am not away of haha. But it is still lovely!

I bought it from Boots for only £6.00!
All soap and glory products are 3 for 2 at bots right now as well!
I definitely recommend this, it keeps my locks safe and dry, and it adds that most necessary glamorous and girly start to the day!

Darling Tip - To make your hair moisturising treatment or conditioner even more affective, apply it onto your hair, wrap it in a bun and then pop on your glam cap. The heat from your head will stay trapped and intensify the results of the treatment!

October Favourites

I have been so rubbish at keeping up with monthly favourites, but I am going to do them religiously from now on I promise!

So here is what I have been loving this month -

Handbag size L'Oreal Elnett hairspray
This is my favourite hair spray ever, I love the smell, holds my hair well & I am never in fear of the dreaded crispy hair look from too much spray! The small hand big size is so perfect for throwing in my bag for touch ups during the day. You know I love my volume and this is an essential!

8 Hour cream
I use this year round, but as it is getting colder I depend on this gem even more! I am not a fan of Vaseline and I find it just sits on my skin, but 8 hour cream is amazing! Smells spicy and wintry, and saves cracked dry lips, cuticles, elbows, brows, lashes,blisters anything you can think of! You need this in your life

Chloe perfume
This is my favourite winter perfume & the bottle is so pretty
it smells so powdery and cozy, and it lasts all day! Definitely recommend you having a little sniff next time you see it!

Mac blush - harmony
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and I have used this every day since! I use this as a blush and contour, and it makes my makeup in the morning so speedy - Just one quick sweep of this under the apples of my cheeks makes me look sculpted and awake, and then for a more dramatic look at nigh time, I use allot with an angled brush for killer cheek bones!

Bourjois healthy mix foundation
This is my most recent purchase, and I have to say it's probably the best drug store foundation I have tried of yet! I love to look dewy but still with a high to medium coverage, and this delivers. It has a lovely fruity scent and it is so easy to blend, although it doesn't last all day it's not bad for under £10!

Neutrogeana pink grapefruit face wash
I have been using this every morning since summer, and it has definitely reduced the oiliness in my Tzone. The scent is so zingy and fresh, definitely wakes me up in the mornings and I love the fact it is pink! Recommend this if you're looking for a new face wash

I have also loved the festive, holiday months of Autumn - It's my favourite season, and christmas is just around the corner!
I went to a fireworks display in my Town last night,it was so fun, I love golden fireworks the most

So that's what I have enjoyed using, among many other things!

Happy late Halloween!

For us Brits, It's obvious that Halloween isn't celebrated as much as our friends from across the Pond, this makes me quite sad and I feel like we're missing out on all the fun!
I really wish the holiday was a bigger deal here, I only got a few random trick or treaters knocking at the door, not that we had any goodies for them

I would of loved to do a really fun editorial look for you guys, Sexy vampire, Zombie with fun contact lenses etc, but I had no where to go haha!

But I did go to one party, and it was so much fun dressing up as something different -
I had a packet of stick on gel scars amid fake blood, I'm not one for being that creative with clothes and I would of certainly not worn a sexy sexy little bo peep costume or anything like that haha

I basically just did
a smokey brown eye
a heavy contour using Harmony blush from Mac
and a blood red lip, using Plum from Revlon
And of course the scar and blood

My friend Jamie, went as a Gothic vampire bride haha
Her stick on teeth were amazing though, isn't she gorgeous!

It was so easy and really realistic looking, it had fake stitches in it as well!
I got loads of comments on it, and I think I may do this look again for any fancy dress party!

My 18th Birthday - Cake, Presents haul, FOTN

Hello loves!

This is my very very belated birthday post
I turned 18 a couple of weeks ago, and I had such a lovely special time and I obviously have to share it with you all!

Please don't think I'm bragging about what I received or what I did, I am so gratefull for everything!

Firstly, I was given an Iphone 4! I am soso happy with it and I am now addicted to twitter, please follow me I only have 93 followers at the moment haha http://twitter.com/#!/DarrlingHeart

I found this crystal case from eBay for about £8 with a screen protector, so hopefully it will stop me scratching or dropping it haha

My other big present was a new camera, It's a SAMSUNG ES28
It is so amazing, and has a load new settings and modes for me to play with, hopefully you can tell the difference in quality - Most importantly it is pink!

I went out for a birthday meal at a french restaurant with my friends which was really lovely, champagne and birthday cake where the highlights!

My mum makes the most amazing cakes, this is my favourite yet!
Red velvet, with pink icing! It was so pretty I didn't want to eat it

I was given these helium balloons and they are still going strong in my room!

My best friends gave me the new Chloe perfume - LOVE Eau Du Parfum I had my eye on and it is amazing, the bottle is so chic and the scent is so cozy and lovely for winter

My mum also gave me Pretty from Elizabeth Arden, which came with the same scented lotion and a goregous makeup bag
Love this scent, it isnt something I would of looked at, but its such a fresh flowery scent for the day time!

My mum knows I love cleaning my room - I find it really relaxing
and I am always complaining that nothing is girly enough, so she got me pink bleach, sponges, and some glam rubber gloves

You all know I love shabby chic things, and this photo holder is so perfect with my room, I love this so much!

It is a tradition in my house that we always get new pajamas for Christmas and birthdays, These fabulous ones where from Primark!

I am an avid tea fan, and also a complete lover of baths, One of my other best friends gave me this uber cute tea pot and filled it with bath bombs, so thought-full and cute!

My friends know that I am a massive Elvis fan (ashamed to admit haha), and they got me the best clock ever

As I said, please don't think I was bragging!

Quick post about a complete steal I bought from eBay - So the average pair of lashes from boots & superdrug is around £5, pretty pricey considering I usually only wear them once

I picked up 10 pairs for only 99p & 30p for shipping!

They are really voluminous and thick, perfect for a night out!
I'm really excited to wear them, I will do a FOTN soon and show you what they look like- I have high hopes

This is one of my fave lippies ever, Modesty by Mac

It is the perfect "Your lips but better colour"
It's a lovely warm brownish nude with a hint of coral, it matches the name perfectly, it's a modest everyday colour!

It's a cremesheen so it's lovely and moisturising and so creamy
It's quite a "grown up colour" & it is perfect for whacking on everyday

DIY - Shabby Chic Lacey Shelf Cover

Hello Dolls!

So I have a massive problem with mess & clutter, and my disorganised shelves where making me feel anxious haha
So I had a little creative idea, it was so easy & I have to share it with you
Hope you all try it!

I found an old lace curtain, you could use any curtain or material
I used 3 pin nails and hammered them into the sides of the shelve, that is the most strenuous part and it took two minutes
And then simply hooked the curtain over it

I obviously had to go to far with the girliness and safety pinned two pink hair bows

It looks a hundred times better, I'm so ashamed to show you the mess that is behind it!

Review - Miss Cole

Something very exciting to write about here!

The other day I was sent some products from the lovely Jane at Miss Cole HQ
Ever heard of Miss cole?
I've seen it in Superdrug & the whole range has amazing packaging - definitely recommend a looky next time you pop in!

So I was very lucky to receive It's a sham - poo (shampoo) & Head start ( Conditioner)
These are ideal for colour treated or dry hair - My locks have been suffering allot recently from allot of curling
Both are sold at superdrug for £2.50 each & 300mls each - Bargain!

The brand motto/ catchphrase is - "Girls just want to have fun"
Very good words to live by in my opinion, and it really illustrates what this whole brand is about - Fun & girliness!

Packaging - I love this! Such a bright hot pink & The font is so girly & I love the really cute hair dryer & crown designs. It jazz's up my shower!

Scent - I think scent in hair products is so important - This smells so delicious! Very florally & fresh - Very similar scent to Juicy Couture's original perfume! And the scent lingered in my hair, a very nice waft of Miss Cole spreads out every time i swish my hair!

Product - I was a bit skeptical that a shampoo for dry hair could leave my hair heavy or greasy - but it cleansed it so nicely! Left feeling very soft & swishy
And the conditioner was lovely as well, very creamy & thick - it definitely sorted out my dry ends!
I think this could be a staple step in my hair routine for some time!

Over all I am very much loving this product!
A welcome change to my regular shampoo & hopefully will sort out my dry hair in the long term - I will keep you posted!
Definitely recommend this one girlies, & gifsets will be available for Christmas at Debenhams & House of Frazer - One will definitely be on my Christmas list!

Confessions of an Heiress - Paris Hilton
I am all for light hearted, fluffy, whimsical reads - and this is the ultimate
I got this a few years ago and I love to dip into it now and then when ever I need advice of what an heiress would do - This book is very tongue in cheek
It's very picture heavy, no headaches from this one, totally recommend it if you're a Paris fan!

Steam Cream
If you read my post a couple of weeks ago, you will know I was kindly sent this
IT IS AMAZING! This is my new night cream & my skin has never looked better, I cannot see myself without this now!

Hard as nails - Sally Hanson
My nails are always peeling and just generally weak , but this is making all the difference!
I am so lazy at nails, but this is a perfect base or top coat!

Mac Lipglass - Underage
This is from my uber nude lip obsession, anyone watch Lollipop26's videos when she used to love this?
This is seriously Barry M's Marshmallow in opaque gloss form!
Quite hard to work with, and sometimes it can look really chalky, but this lovely mixed with a clear gloss or dabbed over any lipstick! Totally recommend this to the nude lippie gals out there!

Britney - Curious
Now school is starting, I am not wanting to waste the good perfume on boring days stuck in a classroom! This is a lovely perfume for every day, really powdery & florally, it's not sickly like the fantasy range!

VO5 - High Volume hairspray
This is amazing! This was £1.50 or something ridiculously cheap in boots, for 400ml! I have been using it every day & it is so far the best spray I have come across for creating volume! It has a lovely smell, just like Glamalot by soap & glory!

I will do a post on my voluminous hair routine soon, if you would like - This is my secret weapon!

Note - Sorry the lighting in the pictures is messed up - I started snapping away & it got dark in about five minutes, summer time is truly gone!

EXCITING! Review - Steam cream

Now I have something quite exciting to share with you!
The other day was sent a pot of Steam cream by the lovely ladies at the Steam cream HQ
I was so excited to receive the cream and a lovely handwritten note in the post, as it is my first professional review with an exciting product I haven't tried yet!

But of course I will give you as much information as possible, my honest thoughts and opinions as always!

So let's get down to business!

TIN

Firstly how fab is the tin!
It is so me - pink & snake skin this particular tin design is the RITA , it's sadly limited edition though!
I think it would look so beautiful on my vanity and as it is so small it is perfect to pop in my handbag

There are other fab tin designs!

Another plus is you can use the tin when the cream runs out this is all part of the green friendly ethos of the product
Hair clip storage perhaps!

It is the perfect handbag size tin & I am definitely going to carry this around at school, perfect to quickly moisturise my hands & arms during the day as it gets colder

CREAM

The cream itself is designed to be used on face, body and hands - It is a really lovely thick cream and it left my skin feeling so silky and soft
What i really like about the product is it's different from other creams, it absorbs so easily into the skin and leaves it radiant

"The energy produced by bubbling steam melts and fuses the ingredients together at a
speed that defies most traditional cream-making methods. The force and intensity allows the
ingredients to emulsify instantly"

The cream has quite a strong scent of lavender & other floraly herbally smells
It is a really natural smelling product, and I think this would be lovely to use at night as the heady lavender smell would definitely aid me on my travels to the land of nod!

It is packed with lovely natural ingredients too
Organic Jojoba Oil, cocoa butter, almond & lavender oil, orange flower water and oatmeal
And to top it all of, it's vegan friendly and not tested on animals!

Steam cream retails for £10 for 75g
I think this is very reasonable for the quality of product you get as it is so moisturising it will certainly last a long time
It is definitely going to become a loved part of my skin care routine & I totally recommend it to you girlies!

My friend and I had a sort of mini photo shoot haha, so excuse the very posed pictures!

I first bought Darling over a year ago - after a rather bad relationship with Barry M's 101 - Waaay to pale for me, it was not pretty

But Darling is so creamy and moisturising and only £6 - Definitely the nude for me

It has been a gorgeous pale lipstick love affair with it and I have never looked back!

Don't we all love Darling! The best & cheapest nude lippie in the world?
I think so!

99p Brush cleanser & Storage!

Hey Dolls!

Todays post is about brush cleansing & storage!

So I have never used an expensive brush cleaner, I don't own any lovely Mac or Bobbi brown brushes
So I don't see any need for me to shell out on an expensive cleanser

Here are my dirty brushes -

I have a variety of brushes from Cosmopolitan & Ruby and Millie to cheap 17 ones and they do me just fine!

A girl simply still needs clean brushes, even if they aren't deluxe ones

I suggest Tesco Coconut shampoo!- 99p for 750ml

I've often read about people using baby shampoo and I've tried that myself also, but you know I love coconut!

This shampoo has added moisturisers, smells gorgeous and the massive bottle will last you for ages!
It will leave your brushes lovely and soft & smelling delish!

I totally recommend using a cheap moisturising shampoo if you are looking for a brush cleanser!

Just in case your interested?
I wash my brushes twice weekly & my foundation brush three times a week
This really is a must, they work so much better & you definitely have less chance of breaking out

After washing, I just mould the bristles into their original shape and lay them out on a towel to dry!

On another note

I thought I would share with you something new I picked up the other day and it is a great way to store brushes

Pink heart pencil holder - This is only 99p from Tescos!
Its meant to be a stationary holder and would look so cute on a desk, but It's so pretty and is a fab brush holder!

And how satisfying when your brushes are all clean and fluffy and sitting in a cute holder!

As a fellow beauty blogger, I feel it is my most important duty to inform you of cheap dupes!

We all love a cheap alternative, especially if it is a Chanel alternative

Chance by Chanel is my all time favourite perfume, but at £60 a pop I use it sparingly and it doesn't get much love!

When I was having a little browse in Zara I came across this beauty
Zara Collection

I am not exaggerating at all, it smells exactly the same and lasts a really long time! And it is only around £13!

It's such a distinctive scent and it is perfect for nightime, I definitely recommend this!
I carry this around with me at all times and smell of Chanel as often as I please!

Hope this helps anyone who loves the scent of Chance!

These are the products I will always buy again and again and that I think everyone should know about!

So let me start with .... The best eye makeup remover you will ever get your paws on!

Botanics - Soothing Eye makeup remover

This is amazing!
It never ever irritates my sensitive eyes, and is hands down the best and quickest at removing waterproof mascara
So easy and you literally just wipe your eyes a few times with this on cotton wool, no more excuses for not taking eye makeup off!
It contains Icelandic moss to hydrate and calm skin
It is only £2.99 and will last you two months at least!

I think what makes it amazing, is the oil in the product, it is what makes this remover so silky and allows removal of eye makeup with no rubbing!
As you can see it is a separate layer, and once shaken up it blends with the other liquids
Fear not , it does not leave eye lids extremely greasy and I often use it to clear up mistakes as I am doing my makeup

I have nothing bad to say about this at all
Get it now!

I cannot believe we are officially in full blown summer, the past months favourites have been lacking in makeup and have an increased summery tropical feel haha

Body shop Papaya body butter
Ahh this smells delicious, such a strong tropical juicy scent! This is so moisturising as well, perfect for slathering on over scorched skin or as an alternative to perfume if your wanting a sweet delicious aroma

Trident soft Tropical sugar free gum
Ah I am addicted to this! It is way more interesting than regular mint, yawn
It is pretty strong, and people always comment on the fruity aroma in the room when I am chewing this haha
This is a really good alternative to sweets or other snacks as it has no calories but a really sugary flavour!

Burt's bees Beeswax lip balm
This is definitely a cult beauty item
Lovely menthol tingle and very moisturising, enough said really!

Hawaiian tropics moisturising lipgloss - Mango & Papaya

This is so perfect for summer! It has an SPF of 25, and is completely non sticky!
It is super shiny and just gives the lips a lovely juicy plumpness and it is moisturising as well, ideal if your lips get especially dry in the sun and you don't want to sacrifice your gloss!
Words cannot describe how delicious this is either
Are you noticing a tropical fruit shaped pattern in this favourites yet

Heat magazine

Basically any gossip magazine, I have been lounging around outside allot and heat has been a lovely mind numbing read
I have noticed Heat has had allot more beauty and fashion in it recently, hooray!
And allot of features about Big Brother, yes I am addicted

As do I, my whole room is a shrine to everything kitsch and girly and I am always on the hunt for more

May I introduce you to my new item ....
Cream vintage rose storage shelf - £20 from Matalan!

A bit pricey considering its from Matalan, but it is normally very hard to find shabby chic things and when found they are normally way more expensive!
It is a lovely cream coloured painted metal
And it is really sturdy and has three spacious tiers

I'll do a post and show you what I put on it

Night out & FOTN - The Drums

Hey Dolls!

So here is a few photos of the other night

My friends and I went to see the band - The Drums

The gig was only in Cambridge so there was just a short train ride to get there, we took a picnic of strawberries and white chocolate fingers to have before haha

It was so so fun, I really like their music and it was a lovely night out
I only have one photo of them at the gig, I was being pushed all the time so there was hardly any chance to get a good one!

The climax was when they played their song, Let's go surfingIf you haven't heard it yet I suggest you check it out, it's a perfect summery song

I am very happy with my skin at the moment, no break outs at the moment, hooray, so I layed off the foundation and used Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer and a heavy dusting of Bourjois Chocolate bronzer

The gig was so hot and sweaty, so foundation would of literally slid off my face

I used Benefit's Bad gal eye liner, Love this!
It was completely sweat and dance proof
For lips i used Clinique Super balm Moisturising gloss - Pink grapefruit

So that was my little night out
I shall be doing more posts about days when i do something particularly fun or interesting

TREsemme Fresh start waterless foam shampoo

I think this is such a good idea, I find that regular aerosol dry shampoo leaves my hair quite dull and dry looking
I am so excited at the idea of a foam shampoo that will leave my hair shiny and clean in the mornings!
I think it's going to be a must have for festival season!

Temporay tattoos - Chanel Dupe

Hello girlies!

So I found something so exciting! I was having a walk around New look, and I found these babies!
They're by a brand called Art of Love, and each pack is £4.99 comes with three different sheets of tattoos!
So when I think of temporary tatoos, spiderman, dragon and glittery designs that come free in cereal and magazines for children come to mind - i.e

But these are a grown up and fabulous version
They are so easy to apply, you just cut out the design and use a wet flannel to moisten the paper, and voila you have yourself a tattoo pain free!
I was so lusting over the Chanel ones

But the Chanel ones are about £59, boo!
These obviously don't have the Chanel logo but they have the same chain and lace designs, they also have swallows, love hearts and flowers!

I am so excited to have a little play with these, I'm thinking attach some of the hearts onto a chain around my wrist and maybe swallows on the back of my neck!
I've always wanted a tattoo but I am way too scared to get one done right now!

Mini OOTD / Future crisis/ Update

Hey Dolls!

Argh So I am back at school after my exams, it is so rubbish! It's my final year of school and so I am super busy with Uni open days and other boring stuff ugh! I'm going to a massive Uni convention shin dig on Thursday, when like representatives form a hundred universities come and you walk around and talk to them and get booklets
It's so scary I cant believe I'm thinking about Uni already, I don't want to grow up and I am so worried that I'm going to ruin my life by choosing the wrong course to do haha!
But in general, I have no idea what to do with my life haha, I'm feeling so lost and overwhelmed, blogging is a lovely escape!
If only I could sit blogging with a cup of tea listening to Kylie for the rest of my life haha!

But anyways.. I have something really exciting to post about in the next few days, that I will let you all know about eee!

So this is a semi OOTD, it has been a bit chilly and grey and horrid in England the past few days
I got this jumper from Topshop in the winter and I love it! It has shoulder pads and studs haha, it's so cool I love it! I just wore boring jeans and pumps that you probably don't care about haha

Also I am on the second Lauren Conrad book - Sweet little lies , ahh I love it!
It's just as sugary and whimsical as the first one, is anyone else reading these books? I also heard she is coming out with a style book, cant wait for that ahh!

So this was just a quick post and probably a very boring rant and musing about my shakey future, just to let you know what I will be doing more interesting posts soon!

This sounds like a collection that was made for me, I love love love Disney.
I assume there are going to be allot of the colours I love to wear, especially in Autumn and Winter - Dark plums, blacks, reds etc to support the evil theme!

English heatwave - Summer skin saviors

Hey lovelies

Oh my gosh, over the weekend England has had a massive heatwave!
I spent all of Saturday/Sunday and today, just lounging in the garden in my swimsuit!
I have a lovely deep tan on my chest and face, and loads of freckles on my nose! I love freckles, I wish I had more I think they are so cute!

Anyways, I'm not that fair skinned, but I have quite badly burnt bits on my shoulders and heat rash on my hands and forearms ugh. I am also quite concerned that my newly natural bronzed skin isn't going to last, so this lead me to this post idea -

These are the products I always use to care for my skin abroad or when we get the few hot days in England

Exfoliator / Body brush
I always ensure to get rid of dead skin prior to fake tanning or laying out in the sun, the tan looks so much deeper and glowy, and it will last allot longer if you have newly smoothed skin!

Suncream / Tanning oil
Obviously suncream is a must, I've been using factor 30 on my face and 15 on my body, but the factor I use depends on how hot it is. I love the scent of suncream, it transports me to a lovely beach, especially when creams have a really strong coconuty scent!
I rarely use tanning oil, It literally fries my skin, so I only use it when I have a really strong natural tan or I will just burn. It is really moisturising and makes you tan allot easier though!

Cool baths
These are so nice! Showers with a really strong water pressure will just really hurt burnt skin, so I've been taking really long cool baths to soothe my heat rash and burns.
I only use a tiny amount of bubbles though, as my skin is so sensitive after being in the sun!
I suggest using my method of a Milk & Honey bath ( click here to see it) as it is so lovely and moisturising post sunbathing!

After sun
I picked up the Aloe Vera gel when I was in Mexico, I love gel's and I keep them in the fridge to make them extra cooling and soothing !
I also use a cheap after sun lotion, to moisturise the rest of my body. I love love love the smell of after sun, does anyone else? I think it smells all manly and aquatic haha!

I also love to use shimmering lotion if I am going out, it enhances the tan so nicely and makes me have that fabulous Jlo Glow!

Further moisturising
The day after Ive stopping tanning, I use a really intense moisturiser to help my tan stay for as long as possible! I use this St Tropez lotion, it is designed to be used whilst tanning naturally, using sunbeds, or fake tanning. It is so soothing and really helps my tan stay for over two weeks! The smell is lovely as well, really fresh and herbally! I really recommend it!

Three things I love about myself -

1. I love my courage, and that I always strive to succeed and solider on, even though I have had allot of bad times!

2. I love my heart and soul, not to be boastful haha, but I feel I have a good heart and always try to help other people and do what is right!

3. I love my body and my height(I'm 5ft 10).
I am definitely a million miles away from being anywhere near a size zero, but I feel confident and beautiful in my own skin and always try to carry myself with sass and fabulosity haha.
I don't necessarily love every part of body, but I see that each part makes myself as a whole and who cares what other people think!

Post party skin

Hey lovelies!
So I like to blog about everyday things that happen as I feel it makes my blog easier to relate to, if that makes any sense!

Last night, my friends and I went to a local concert type thing, there was a Madness and Queen tribute band, we all love a bit of Ska and bohemian rhapsody eh.
Allot of very embarrassing singing and drunken dancing took place, I've also had a relay horrible cold, so this morning I woke up to my skin being an insanely dry, sensitive, puffy and red mess. It is definitely lacking with the normal glowy radiance I like it to have.

Every girl loves to party, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who has to deal with the general death like skin the morning after.This inspired me to make a post about the issue of caring for hungover and dehydrated skin!

So here is my ways of dealing with after party skin -

Water - Seriously, I drink quite allot of water everyday, but tiredness and alcohol is so dehydrating for skin, I make myself drink a pint of water as soon as I wake up

Deep clean - I make sure I give my face a proper wash with a gentle foaming cleanser, as normally I don't get round to washing my face at all If Ive been partying.

I also steam my face occasionally, with a bowl of hot water and a few drops of tea tree oil, it is so good for clarifying and detoxing the skin!

MOISTURISE - This is definitely the most crucial part, for really dry skin I swear by good old Nivea cream, it is so cheap, like 99p!
I slather on a really thick layer on my face and neck, like I would a face mask, and just leave it to soak in, glowyness will ensue!

Makeup - If I have to go out, minimal makeup is definitely key. Tinted moisturiser, allot of brightening concealer, bronzer, lip balm, mascara, white eyeliner. 8 hour cream is a godsend in dehydrated skin situations, apply liberally!
More makeup does not equal more beauty, in any situation, especially not post party! Sheer and glowy makeup with a glossy lip is what I go for, à la gossip girl and Olivia Palermo. Speaking from experience,matte powder and caked on foundation will just make skin look even more grey, tired and dull.

Sleep - I just love sleeping in general, and my skin is a million times better after a good ten hours!

A bacon sandwich ( or any fried food in large quantities), cup of tea, some reality TV and light reading material are completely necessary in making yourself feel human again.

This could be a hidden gem that only the likes of sporty gym whores and buff jocks know about, this stuff is amazing! Its one of those fizzy tablets you dissolve in water, it tastes like Orange squash and it has like every mineral and vitamin you need per day. It peps me up and makes you feel really lush and if you drink it daily you are less likely to get colds and such. I don't drink this daily, only when I'm hungover, I have a cold right now, case in point really!

Dakota Lamas inspired FOTD

So, I love American reality shows, and recently have been loving Leave it to the LamasOne of the stars, Dakota Lamas is gorgeous! Also, her brother is delicious! haha

She normally wears a smoky smudged liner, with a silvery highlight or lid colour and a brown toned nude lip, this is basically my everyday makeup, but I tend to go for a pinky lip.

Hey dolls!
So, I am such a mascara fiend, I hoard them and am always wanting to try new ones.
Rimmel 1,2,3 looks mascara caught my eye as it is being thrusted In my face every 5 minutes.. I see the advert with Georgia Jagger ( I flipping love her) at least three times a day.

The mascara looks pretty cool, it allows you to change the brush and customise your lash look depending on what your feeling that day .

Louboutin Red nails

Hey gorgeous!
I am totally loving, everything pinup and burlesque at the moment, my nails are no exception. I was talking with my lovely friend Adam today, hey babe, and he mentioned he liked my nails, and we got talking about Red nails and the red soles of Louboutins.

So, NOTD, Revlon Red 680
This is the most fabulous true red colour I have ever seen, and is the true iconic colour of Revlon.
Red nails make me feel so fabulous and sexy,and are so fun if you wearing all black, a hot flash of red really makes a difference .
A top coat is a must with this nail polish though, shine for extra vavavoom and insurance against chips.

Rumour has it, the red soles of Louboutins came from when Christian Louboutin loved the red nail polish one of his secretary's wore, he asked to borrow it and painted the soles of one of his heels. And a tradition of pure fabulousity followed.

Sadly I don't own any of these gorgeous shoes, I think they are literally the sexiest thing a woman could wear on her feet, but Revlon red is the closest I can get, for now at least ;)

Quick post about soemthing I'm loving right now
Soap & Glory - Glamalot body spray

S&g have the best body sprays, hands down. They have a really strong and lingering scent, and are a reasonable price, around £6 for 250ml!

There are 3 sprays, but my favourite is glamalot. It smells really musky, warm and sexy scent but also has a lovely sweet vanillary side to it, and is really nice to wear instead of perfume.Plus the packaging is so girly and kitsch!

I have nothing bad to say about this product, I love dousing myself in it and become flammable basically haha, the spray is perfect to carry in your bag and top yourself up to feel more refreshed and fabulous!

Sorry for the lack of posts, I have had a super busy week, but I'm on Easter break now so I shall be blogging to my hearts content!

So I'm going to start with what I've been loving this march

Harmony hair spray
This isn't the best hairspray ever, but it was under £1 from savers and it does the job! I am really not willing to spend £4 or more on hairspray when i know they all have the same affect on my hair

Barry M nail paints - Raspberry and 3 in 1
I am loving Barry M polishes, they don't chip for ages and they have an amazing colour range.
I've been wearing raspberry practically all month, its the perfect berry colour if you don't want a really girly pink!
3 in 1, this is amazingg. It makes polish last all week and makes nails super shiny. Best top coat I've tried!

Bodyshop Total energy enlivening body gel
I love this! Its a gel/lotion and smells so lovely and zingy. It has a really strong citrus and bergamot scent, it might not be to some tastes though!
It might be a gimmicky product, but i love using this in the morning and thinking it wakes me up haha. Its really moisturising and and non greasy, I will definitely be re-purchasing!

Juicy couture- Viva la juicy
I have fallen in love with this again, I went through Christmas time with not wearing this, but it is perfect for spring!
It smells so floral and fresh and people always comment on its lovely smell, arhh i love this so much!

Bodyshop Vitamin e eye cream
I blogged about this before when I first bought it, I LOVE IT.
I have used it everyday all month, it keeps my eyes lovely and soft and I have noticed a decrease in dark circles! I seriously couldn't go without this!

Revlon super lustrous lip gloss - Nude lustre
LOVE THIS. The texture is really creamy and the colour is perfect for everyday. Its a peach/ terracotta with gold shimmers,I feel like my lips are 10 times bigger when I'm wearing this. Well not really 10 times bigger.. haha .
Anyways I've been using this allot this month over bare lips and a little lip liner, super easy and natural. I am definitely going to be tyring out other colours from the range!

Chanel Les ombres eye shadows - no. 77 Influences
I think this may be discontinued, but these are the loveliest colours ever. I love this palette and I've hit pan on nearly all the colours, BOO. The pigmentation of the shadows is so good, they are really pearly and soft..
Ive been using the peach and pink shades all over my lid, and a using the sparkly black with a fluffy brush in the crease so its a really sheer wash of colour.

Cheapest/Greatest spot treatment ever

Hey dolls!

Now I'm sure allot of people know this tip already, but it is my holy grail piece of advice when it comes to spots and I want everyone to know it!

I have always suffered from mild acne and there is never a point when I dont have at least three spots. Gross.
I have literally tried nearly every spot treatment out there, freederm, clean & clear, Clearasil etcc and nothing really works, and if it does work it takes at least 2/3 days and I always have to pay at least £5.

Toothpaste is so amazing on spots, make sure your face is clean and just dab a tiny bit on so its completely covered, and leave it for as long as you can. If I'm not going out I'll leave it on all day, or just five minutes will work wonders!
It works by drying out the spot therefore leaving it less red/swollen!

I use original Colgate, in the paste form, I've noticed a paste works better than a gel and you can get a massive tube for like £1, which will last you forever!

If you ever have a spot, use toothpaste and then try and tell me I'm wrong ;)

Hey dolls!

I just had a lovely shower, and was rummaging through all my body lotions and came across this little gem I haven't been giving any love to in a while..

Fcuk polished whipped body cream
This stuff is amazinggg, firstly it is so thick and creamy, almost a body butter. It moisturisers really nicely, and defiantly makes my skin smooth and glowy even better than Soap& Glory's Righteous butter!
My favourite thing about this product though is its gorgeous smell, ahh it's so lovely!
Fcuk say the product has a warm & sensual sent containing mandarin,creamy vanilla, Shea butter, almond oil and pomegranate! It has a really musky, sweet and spicy scent and i think would be so nice to use if your going out at night!

You can get this at boots, its currently 1/3 off for all fcuk products and is now only £3.67 for 300ml! I think I am going to get myself another one of these!

Hello dolls, the other day my mums friend came round and she always gives my mum clothes etc that she doesn't use anymore, and in the pile she'd given
Bed Head's Shine junkie, my mum said she didn't want it so I got it yaay

Oh my gosh I have to rave to you guys about this product!
It's really cool, it comes in a canister, like squirty cream, and you push it down for the product to come out. It's a serum/smoothing cream that makes your hair super shiny and treats split ends. The product reminds me allot of Gosh's primer, it has the same consistency and velvety feeling! It makes my hair so soft and lovely, and you only need a tiny bit or it could make it greasy,
It has the same scent as Bedheads superstar blow dry lotion, sort of orange/citrusy deliciousness!

I really love this product, and would defiantly buy it, I encourage everyone to try it out!

Make your own necklace board!

Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one,but how hard is it storing necklaces?!
I used to drape them over my dressing table mirror, it looked realy glam but it was impossible to keep them untangled and to properly see them.
So i came up with a realy cute way to store your necklaces, you can display themm, its super easy and cheap to do and you can customize it!

You will need ..
A pinboard
Poster paint/Wall paint/Spray paint/Pictures - Something to decorate the board with
Nails/pins
Paintbrush
Newspaper

How to do it..

Lay your clean board on newspaper and basically just start decorating it, have fun!

I used a pastel pink wall emulsion paint, to match my room.
You will probably have to use two coats of paint, as the cork absorbs the paint.
Leave it to dry overnight, and then stick in pins/nails and hang your necklaces.
You will then need to hammer a nail into your wall so you can hang it up!
